HAVEN is non-profit organization dedicated to connecting the youth of rural Appalachia affected by the opioid crisis through the means of art therapy.

The visual identity references traditional Appalachian quilt design patterns with a contemporary outlook to reflect a forward looking community.

The revolving typemark symbolizes the individual personalities of the community’s youth, encouraging the idea that our different dynamics can come together to create a powerful mark.

The graphic typemark’s colorway serves as a color coded wayfinding system for the community center. Fabric flag banners hang in the campus entryway as a contemporary homage to traditional Appalachian textile work.

Murals installed throughout the community, painted by students from the center, advertise upcoming events and gallery shows.
